The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has made some changes in its online application system for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination as candidates complained of technical glitches while applying through it.

The last date to apply for extended
The commission recently extended the last date to apply for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2025 till February 18. UPSC said in a notice that some entries have been made editable in the one-time registration for filling out online applications.

Given the questions/problems raised by the candidates in filling out the online application form for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination, 2025, the Commission has decided to make changes in the One-Time Registration (OTR) for filling out online applications.

An OTP will be sent to the email id.

Candidates are not allowed to make any changes in the columns related to name (as per class 10th), date of birth, father's name, mother's name, mobile number, and email ID in the OTR. If a candidate has changed his registered mobile number but has a registered email ID, he can apply for a change in mobile number. In this case, an OTP will be sent to the email ID.

The Civil Services Examination is conducted by UPSC every year in three stages - Preliminary, Main and Interview. Through this, officers of the Indian Administrative Service, Indian Foreign Service, and Indian Police Service (IPS) are selected.

The Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be held on May 25

The last date for application for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2025 and Indian Forest Service (Preliminary) Examination was also recently extended to February 18, 2025 (till 6 pm). Earlier the last date to apply online for the examinations was February 11. The Civil Services Preliminary Examination will be held on May 25.
