Good Morning Britain's Kate Garraway was forced to apologise to her colleague following an unexpected interruption.
During the Thursday (February 13) instalment of the morning programme, Kate and Ed Balls were at the helm, delivering the latest news and stories.
But things took a slightly awkward turn when they were joined by former favourite , who was there to chat about her Let's Dance project.
Kate couldn't resist mentioning Angela's legendary high-kick dance routine on Morecambe and Wise, which became a defining moment in British TV history.
Addressing Angela, Kate remarked: "That launched your dance career but your career was already on the way with journalism," reports .
Ed chimed in, confessing: "I saw that at home on that and it was so amazing. What was it like? It was unusual for a news reader to do something like that."
Angela fondly recalled: "It was wonderful and of course Eric and Ernie were just brilliant to work with and they just made you feel so comfortable with them. They were just a joy to work with and I had a wonderful time with them."
Kate observed: "The thing is you were clearly already dancing anyway." To which Angela responded: "Well yeah I am quite flexible and like a lot of little girls I was sent to ballet class when I was four/five years old and I loved to dance and I still do and I'm naturally very flexible and it's stayed with me all my life."
Kate then swiftly changed the subject, but before she could complete her sentence, Ed intervened, saying: "Before you move on."
Kate apologised for rushing, saying: "Oh sorry." Ed seized the chance to bring up Angela's stint on Strictly, commenting on her similar leg-kick move by saying: "The flexibility of your dancing on Strictly.."
However, Kate quickly jumped in, saying: "Oh no, I was going to come to that, don't you worry about that. We were all amazed."
Angela explained that she has natural flexibility, recalling a conversation she had with a woman who told her that the body is like a machine with many moving parts, and it's essential to keep them moving to avoid stiffness.
