Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla will inaugurate a two-day Orientation Programme for the newly elected Members of the 15th Legislative Assembly of Haryana on 14th February 2025. The event will take place at the State Legislature Premises, Chandigarh, with the aim of empowering legislators with essential knowledge and skills.

The inaugural session will be graced by:

• Chief Minister of Haryana, Shri Nayab Singh Saini
• Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly, Shri Harvinder Kalyan
• Leader of Opposition, Shri Bhupinder Singh Hooda
• Ministers of the State Government and Members of the Assembly
• Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla

Organized by the Parliamentary Research and Training Institute for Democracies (PRIDE), Lok Sabha Secretariat, in collaboration with the Haryana Legislative Assembly Secretariat, the two-day event will cover the following crucial topics:

The programme will feature sessions by Union Ministers, Chairpersons of Parliamentary Committees, Lok Sabha Speaker Shri Om Birla, Members of Parliament, and domain experts, who will provide valuable insights on effective legislative practices.

Since its inception in 1981, PRIDE has organized 70 Orientation Courses for State Legislatures, benefiting over 5032 Members. The first programme was held for the Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly, marking the beginning of a legacy aimed at strengthening democratic governance.
