Bihar performed brilliantly in the 38th National Games and won a total of 12 medals (1 gold, 6 silver and 5 bronze). This is a milestone in the sports history of the state. This achievement is not only much better than the previous demonstrations of Bihar and is going to increase the increasing reputation of the state on the National Sports Forum. This historical success of Bihar has been the strategic plan and tireless efforts of Bihar Sports Department and Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA).

Before the Bihar party left for Uttarakhand, Bihar Sports Department and BSSA predicted at least 10 and maximum 12 medals. By achieving this goal, Bihar proved that the strategy and preparation adopted for athletes was very effective.

Tellow strategy and support for athletes

In this spectacular performance, the Ad-Hawk Committee formed by the Indian Olympic Association (IOA) played an important role, which ensured fair trials, transparent selections and intensive training camps. The entire process was conducted in association with Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA), which gave the best support, preparation and inspiration to every player.

Bihar's top sports instructors and mentors left no stone unturned to fully prepare the players. Under the structured training programs, mental strength and dedicated support system, athletes got the opportunity to compete at their highest level.

In addition, Bihar Sports Department, BSSA and Ed-Hawk Committee provided necessary logistics and medical assistance, special training, proper medical care and cold-friendly clothes for the players during the Games. The presence of BSSA coaches and assistant staff gave confidence and inspiration to athletes.

Historical achievement of women players

The sports journey of Bihar has entered a new era. In Lawn Bowls, the women's team created history by winning the gold medal. This success of Bihar in this game of Commonwealth Games level proved that the strategic policies and athlete-centric schemes of the state are giving results at a high level.

In Archery, Anshika Kumari of Bihar performed brilliantly and won a silver medal in the women's recording personal event. He gave a tough fight to Indian archery veteran Deepika Kumari in the final match, which makes it clear that Bihar is now making a strong presence in this game.

Bihar's outstanding performance in other sports

Akash of Bihar created history by winning the first medal of the state in fencing. He won silver and an additional bronze medal in the foil event, which further strengthened the medal table of Bihar.

Apart from this, the women's rugby team also performed brilliantly and won the silver medal after a tough match against Odisha. This achievement shows their increasing strength and ability in the game.

Players of Bihar also performed brilliantly in Wushu, winning 1 silver and 1 bronze medal. Similarly, Bihar team won 2 bronze medals in Modern Pentathlon, which makes the growing participation in multi-sport competitions of the state clear.

Additionally, Bihar won a silver medal in Yogasana, which reflects increasing expertise in various sports of the state.

Players' historical success on their own land

Bihar also won 12 medals in the 2011 National Games, but many of them were won by athletes taken from other states. This time, each medal has been won by the homegron (domestic) players of Bihar, which reflects the positive changes in the sports policy and structure of the state.

It is a proof of the hard work of Bihar Sports Department and BSSA that now the state is providing the best training, support and resources to its players, due to which they are fully achieving success on their talent and hard work.

P.T. Usha appreciated Bihar's sports progress

Indian Olympic Association (IOA) President and veteran athlete P.T. Usha appreciated this progress of Bihar. He recognized Bihar as an emerging strong sports state and said that the hard work and dedication of athletes of Bihar is clearly reflected in this medal table.

Apart from this, he accepted Bihar's invitation for Khelo India Youth Games 2025, which Bihar will host later this year. P.T. This acceptance of Usha is an important inspiration towards the growing influence and future success in the sports sector of Bihar.

Bihar Sports Department and BSSA commitment

Bihar Sports Department and Bihar State Sports Authority (BSSA) thanked IOA and Ed-Hawk Committee for their dedicated efforts. This historical performance has been possible only due to priority of fair selection process, training camps and athletes welfare.

Bihar's next step towards future

This achievement of Bihar is only one beginning in the 38th National Games. With the improvement in sports policy, talent development initiative and plans to empower sports structure at the state level, Bihar is now moving towards becoming a major force of Indian Games.

The great medal table of this time lays the foundation of the future sports success of Bihar. The state is now fully committed to providing world class facilities, structured training programs and overall support system to athletes, so that Bihar can create a distinct identity in the sports world in the coming years.

Bihar's glorious journey on the path of sports has just begun!
