In this election year of Bihar, every political party is engaged in doing equations. Rallies related to different castes are happening. Ekta rally was organized on behalf of Kurmi Samaj in the capital. Now the question is arising that how much political power of Kurmi society is in Bihar, due to which almost all political parties are engaged in attracting people of this society.

Actually, the Kurmi caste has been a strong place in the political environment of Bihar. In the 1960s to 79s, many people of this society have been present in bureaucracy, education, engineering and health service. People of this society are present in all the districts of this state. There are also many sub -castes of the Kurmi society, among them are sub -castes like Awadhiya, Samaswar, Jaswar.

Yadav Lalu to Kurmi with Nitish

In Bihar politics, the Yadav society stands with RJD supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav openly. At the same time, Kurmi Samaj supports Nitish Kumar at every step. Except for some exceptions in Bihar politics, the Kurmi society has always stood with CM Nitish Kumar.

Satish Kumar fought a fight

Nalanda district in Bihar is called the stronghold of Kurmi Samaj. Many leaders of Kurmi Samaj came out of this district, who made their mark at the country level. Among them, Satish Kumar's name comes first. Satish Kumar is called the great hero of Kurmi Chetna Rally. There was a time when Satish Kumar started considering the Kurmi Samaj as his hero. Three decades ago in Bihar politics, he gave a message that he should not consider him weak. He also held a huge rally at the Gandhi rally in Patna in 1994. Nitish Kumar also attended this rally then.

Apart from this, the engineer Sunil Kumar, who comes from Nalanda, is considered close to CM Nitish Kumar and currently minister Shravan Kumar also comes from this society. Currently CM Nitish Kumar comes from this Kurmi society. Apart from this, if we talk about other leaders, then RCP Singh, who is at the number two position in JDU, also belongs to this society.

There are such percentage of Kurmi in Bihar

If we look at the presence of Kurmi society in Bihar politics, the official figures of the state government say something else. Recently, if we look at the figures of the caste survey conducted by the state government, according to it, about 2.87 percent of the people in the state are from Kurmi caste. The population of about 40 lakh in the population of the state belongs to the Kurmi society, but the interesting thing is that there are more than three dozen sub -castes in the Kurmi caste, whose number is seen, if seen, then it is at least 22 to 22 of the state population. 24 percent population becomes.

Definitive on so many seats

The number of assembly seats in the state is 243. Among them, only the Kurmi caste is decisive in winning or deciding 10 to 12 seats in the state. On the other hand, if they mix their sub -castes, then there are at least 70 such seats, where this caste decides victory or defeat. It becomes a good part of the total assembly seat.

CM Nitish's direct hold

The politics of Bihar revolves around caste. While Lalu Prasad is creating his grip as a well -known leader of Yadavs on one side, on the other hand, Nitish Kumar's direct hold is on the Kurmi Samaj. CM Nitish Kumar has a direct hold on the percentage of Kurmi and its sub -castes. In Bihar politics, CM Nitish Kumar is strengthening his grip due to the upper caste and Vaishya voter and JDU's backward and women voters' cocktails.

Nitish supports directly

Senior journalist Sanjay Upadhyay says, the specialty of this society is that this society does not disintegrate. The message of this society is very clear. This society directly supports Nitish Kumar. Yes, it is definitely a matter of fact that it may have a slight effect after the JDU's head RCP Singh is separated, but for this the election will have to be waiting for it. Because RCP used to meet workers. He understood the ethnic complexity of Bihar.
