If you want to change these torn notes then you have to follow certain conditions. First of all you have to go to the bank whose torn note came out of the ATM. You have to go to the bank and write an application. In this application, you have to give information like the withdrawal date, location of ATM and time. Along with the application, you will also have to submit a slip received on withdrawing money from ATM. If you do not have a slip, you can also provide transactions details received through SMS. Shortly after giving all these information, you will get the same price notes back.

You can change a maximum of 20 notes at a time. Note that the total price should not be more than 5 thousand, if the price is more than 5 thousand then you may have to pay additional fees. If you go to a bank to change the note and the bank refuses to change it, then it can be complained to the banking regulator RBI. Not only this, you can also impose compensation of up to 10 thousand on the bank.

If any of your notes are torn, torn or burnt badly, you cannot change it. You can only submit such a note in the Issue Office of RBI. In this way, you can use your old torn notes now and now you will not regret it.
