It is claimed that Cabinet Minister Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal in Punjab was made a minister of a department 20 months ago which was not really. Now the opposition parties have become attacking the government on this issue.
The name of this department was the administrative reform department. Through this, the minister had to improve the administrative structure of the government, but he would have improved when such a department was present. It is being told that there was neither such a department nor an employee in this department. This department had no office, and there was some meeting. That is, in the name of the Ministry of Administrative Reforms, there were only ministers in Punjab, nothing else. After 20 months, the government woke up and issued a notification and informed about not being the administrative reform department.
In fact, Kuldeep Dhaliwal was made the Minister of administrative reform and NRI affairs in June 2023. According to this, he was handling the responsibility of the Ministry of Administrative Reforms for the last 20 months. In these 20 months, he did not know about not having any such department, or he may not have tried to find out.
Dhaliwal bus was sitting on the paper on the paper, he did not take any meeting of the department during this period. He had neither an office nor an employee. Still, it is not known what responsibility Dhaliwal was playing for 20 months. After such a long time, now the government came to know about it. The government issued a notification and informed about not being the administrative reform department, after which Dhaliwal is now the minister of NRI Affairs.
After the administrative negligence in this matter, it can be said that Punjab is in the true need of administrative reform. The entire matter also increased the political temperature of Punjab. Opposition parties got another chance to surround the Bhagwant Maan government. Neither Congress nor BJP and Akali Dal lagged behind in this.
Punjab Congress President Amarinder Singh Raja Waring said that the government of Punjab is going on God trust. At the same time, Akali Dal leader Harsimrat Kaur described the Bhagwant Maan Sarkar of Punjab as the government of remote control. Union Minister Ravneet Singh Bittu took command on behalf of BJP. He said that CM Bhagwant Maan is a spectacle, and his decisions are causing insult to the Punjab government.
However, after the dispute in this entire case, both Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann and Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal gave clarification. CM Mann said that the department of administrative reform was earlier, whose name has now been changed. He said that there is an attempt to reduce government burden by mixing some departments. In this whole matter, Minister Kuldeep Dhaliwal said that it does not matter whether a department to serve Punjab or not.
