Sam Altman And Oliver Mulherin

Sam Altman exchanged vows with his longtime companion, Oliver Mulherin, at some point in either 2023 or the initial months of 2024. In January 2024, images capturing the couple’s intimate ring exchange ceremony at a picturesque coastal setting spread widely across social media.

Following the viral circulation of these photographs, Altman confirmed his marriage to NBC News via text message. Prior to this, in a September 2023 conversation with New York Magazine, he had expressed his and Oliver’s shared desire to start a family soon.

Despite their prominence in the tech world, the duo has largely maintained a low profile regarding their personal lives. They make only occasional public appearances, one of the rare instances being their attendance at the U.S. State Dinner held in honor of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to the United States in 2023.

Adding to the speculation about their growing family, a Bloomberg report published in January 2025 disclosed that the couple had been expecting their first child to arrive in March 2025. However, with the baby’s premature birth, their parenthood journey has begun earlier than anticipated.
