Violet Affleck, Ben Affleck's 19-year-old daughter, has reportedly cut ties with Jennifer Lopez after feeling like she was used as a "pawn" in their divorce. According to sources, Violet had grown close to Lopez during her father's marriage to the singer, even spending time together and exchanging clothes.

Sources close to Lopez have time and again reiterated the singer-actress cannot completely shut Ben out of her life due to their blended family. Jennifer Lopez has 16-year-old twins, Max and Emme, with ex-husband Marc Anthony. Ben Affleck, meanwhile, co-parents his three kids—Violet, 19, Seraphina (not Fin), 16, and Samuel, 12—with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. During their relationship, Lopez was often spotted bonding with Affleck's children.

According to a Daily Mail report, Violet Affleck felt exploited in her father's divorce from Jennifer Lopez. Initially, her mom, Jennifer Garner, supported Violet's friendship with JLo, prioritizing her kids' happiness. However, as the divorce loomed, Violet's interactions with JLo, including wearing her clothes, seemed unusual to the family, as did Lynda Lopez's visit to Violet's college.

The source further added that Jennifer Garner gave Violet space to spend time with Jennifer Lopez, prioritizing her daughter's happiness. However, as Ben Affleck and Lopez's marriage fell apart, Violet allegedly distanced herself from Lopez, having seen the painful impact of the split on her father.

“Over time, Violet started to see how upset her father was that their split was at the center of everything,” the insider added. “Ben never said a word about JLo, but Violet is highly intelligent and will ultimately always be a daddy's girl. This is why you do not see her on public outings with JLo anymore.”

Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce is officially finalized, marking the end of their two-year marriage. A Los Angeles Superior Court judge approved their divorce settlement on January 6, which took effect on February 21, following California's mandatory six-month waiting period.

The couple reportedly reached a settlement through mediation in September, avoiding a lengthy legal battle. This development comes after Lopez filed to end their marriage in August 2024, just two years after they tied the knot in July 2022.

However, it's been confirmed that neither Lopez nor Affleck will pay spousal support, and since they don't have any children together, custody arrangements weren't a factor.

Jennifer and Ben's romantic history dates back to 2002, when they got engaged, only to part ways in 2004. Following their split, Affleck married Jennifer Garner, with whom he shares three children: Violet, Seraphina, and Samuel. The couple divorced in 2018.

Lopez, on the other hand, has been married four times. Her previous husbands include Ojani Noa, Cris Judd, and Marc Anthony.
