The victim Dr. Bijendra Rai, a resident of Srinagar Sierha village of Bilariaganj police station area of Azamgarh, Uttar Pradesh, is the principal of a degree college. He told that a year ago, he had built a house in Arajibagh locality and built a house in the name of his wife.
According to Dr. Rai, his electricity bill came to Rs 799 crore in the first month. When he complained to the corporation officials, he received assurance that the bill will be corrected from next month. But the problem was not resolved. On this, he complained to the Executive Engineer in writing. From there, he got the same assurance, but even then the bill was not corrected.
