Delhi Delhi: There is another warning for people fond of spending hours on digital screen. According to a new study, spending only one hour per day on a tablet or smartphone can greatly increase the risk of myopia or adjacent vision. According to the study published at the JAMA Network Open, in systematic reviews and dosage-reaction met-analysis, a day of 1 hour in digital screen time was associated with 21 percent more possibilities of Myopia (near vision). The dose-reaction pattern displayed a sigmoidal size, which reflects a possible security range of less than 1 hour risk per day, with an increase of up to 4 hours. Researchers said, “These findings can provide guidance to physicians and researchers about Myopia Risk.” Increased use of digital screen has increased in cases of adjacent vision. The team reviewed the data of 45 investigations, in which more than 335,000 participants from children to young adults were seen to have a relationship between screen time and near vision. Researchers said that the risk increased significantly from 1-4 hours of screen time and then gradually increased. However, no connection was found in contact for less than 1 hour, which suggests a possible security limit. Authors say that these conclusions can provide guidance to doctors dealing with “Myopia epidemic”. Recently, industry experts in India discussed the role of technology and gadgets, which are some of the biggest dilemmas faced by students, parents and teachers, especially during examinations. Spending time on the screen for a long time can affect the cognitive function of the brain. This is basically caused by short attention periods and time spending time on the screen, which often involves sitting in a hard posture on a bed or couch. This can cause many health problems, such as obesity, body pain, spinal cord problems and back pain.
