'My performance...': Aamir blames himself for 'Laal Singh Chaddha' failure

At a recent event, Aamir Khan accepted that his "a bit too high" performance in Laal Singh Chaddha caused the film to flop at the box office.
The movie, an official adaptation of Tom Hanks's Oscar-winning Forrest Gump (1994), failed to strike a chord with the audience.
Recently speaking to ABP News, Khan lamented the film's underperformance.

Khan, who is known for his emotional connection with his roles, confessed that he feels sad when his films don't work.
He said, "When my films don't work, I feel sad. Filmmaking is tough and sometimes things don't go as planned."
"In Laal Singh Chaddha, my performance was a bit too high and it didn't work as well as Tom Hanks's version," he added.

The actor also revealed that he goes through a phase of "depression" for two-three weeks when his films flop.
"Then, I sit with my team, analyze what went wrong, and learn from it. I really value my failures because they push me to do better," he shared."
Khan is now working on Sitaare Zameen Par, co-starring Genelia Deshmukh and set for a release around 2025 end.

Film details
Laal Singh Chaddha was helmed by Advait Chandan, who had previously worked with Khan on Secret Superstar.

Despite the high-profile ensemble and much-anticipated release, the film failed to create a mark at the box office.
