With the exception of Prayagraj, the 74 districts in the state will see the start of the UP Board High School and Intermediate examinations today. The Intermediate Military Science test and the High School Hindi and Preliminary Hindi examinations will take place on the first day between 8:30 and 11:45 a.m.

The Intermediate Hindi and General Hindi examinations, as well as the High School Healthcare exam, will be administered during the second shift, which runs from 2:00 PM to 5:15 PM. The examinations that were supposed to take place today in Prayagraj have been rescheduled till March 9. 8,140 testing locations have been set up in total.

The Uttar Pradesh Public Examination (Prevention of Unfair Means) Act 2024 will be used for the first time to administer the UP Board examinations. According to Secretary Bhagwati Singh, prosecutions would be brought against dishonest groups under this legislation, which carries life in jail and fines of up to one crore rupees, according to Jagran.com.

The number of pupils enrolled for the tests is 54,37,233; 27,32,216 are taking the high school exam, and 27,05,017 are taking the intermediate exam. There are 1,282,458 females and 1,449,736 boys in the high school population. Similarly, there are 1,246,024 females and 1,458,983 boys taking the intermediate examinations.

In addition, 10 transgender applicants are taking the Intermediate test and 22 are taking the High School exam. Exam centers’ strong rooms are continuously seen online via CCTV.

The government and police have provided the required directives to guarantee there is no disruption. Devices that create noise are prohibited close to testing locations, and police will take action in response to complaints about DJ music after 10 p.m.

The accused may have to spend the full night in prison and the noise-producing gadgets will be confiscated. Section 144 has been enforced by the authorities because of the examinations and festivities. According to police and administrative authorities, anybody who experiences disruptions during the tests may report the matter. When someone calls emergency number 112, the police will respond.
