On Sunday, the Taneira Saree Run was held in Hyderabad, a lively celebration of heritage and fitness organized by Tata brand Taneira in collaboration with Bengaluru-based fitness startup JJ Active. A remarkable 3,120 ladies participated in the event; all of them were elegantly dressed in gorgeous sarees, transforming People’s Plaza on Necklace Road into a display of harmony and color.
Taneira CEO Ambuj Narayan and Coach Pramod from JJ Active kicked off the Hyderabad race, which aims to encourage fitness and self-expression. The campaign encourages women to embrace exercise and well-being while showcasing the saree’s versatility in fusing traditional and contemporary lives.
Ambuj Narayan highlighted the saree’s importance beyond fashion in his remarks on the occasion: “The Taneira Saree Run celebrates the strength and spirit of women, bringing together tradition and modern energy.” Women are empowered by the saree, a symbol of elegance and tenacity, as they embrace their uniqueness and history. In addition to advancing women’s health, this event cultivates diversity and a feeling of community.
“Women often dedicate themselves to their families, leaving little time for personal well-being,” Coach Pramod said, echoing this view and emphasizing the difficulties many women experience in putting their health first. The Taneira Saree Run offers a safe haven where women may unite, encourage one another, and commemorate their fitness journeys. For the second year in a row, this event has been a big success because to the amazing enthusiasm of Hyderabad’s ladies.
The Taneira Saree Run has brought women from all across India together with past successful editions in Bangalore, Pune, Ahmedabad, and Chennai, demonstrating that tradition and advancement can coexist.
