To make the hair fresh and clean, we often like to wash it with shampoo. But shampooing hair every day is not considered good, because it removes the natural oil of the scalp and the hair starts looking very dry, lifeless and dull. Not only this, many types of problems also start due to dryness of the scalp. In such a situation, we use dry shampoo to remove the stickiness of the hair. These prove to help remove stickiness from the hair.

However, many types of chemicals are found in the dry shampoo available in the market, which can often damage the hair in the long run. In such a situation, you can take the help of some natural things to remove the stickiness of the scalp. From baby powder to cornstarch, many such things can prove to be a great alternative to dry shampoo. So today in this article, RVMUA Academy founder, celebrity makeup artist and skincare expert Riya Vashisht is telling you what things you can use instead of dry shampoo-

Baby powder

You can use baby powder instead of dry shampoo to absorb excess oil from the hair. Just sprinkle a little bit on the roots. Use your fingers or a makeup brush to spread it evenly. Leave it on for a minute, then brush it out thoroughly. It can leave a white tint on black hair. So if you have black hair, mix it with a little cocoa powder to avoid the white tint.

Cornstarch

Cornstarch can also be a good idea to use in place of dry shampoo. It can be easily used on all types of hair. Just sprinkle a small amount on your scalp. Massage it gently to absorb the oil. Finally, brush the hair clean. Since it is very fine and blends well into the hair, you can add a few drops of lavender or tea tree oil to provide additional benefits to the scalp.

Arrowroot Powder

Arrowroot powder is a better option than cornstarch because it is more finely ground. In particular, if you have a sensitive scalp, you may want to consider using arrowroot powder. Simply apply a small amount to your roots. Massage gently and let it sit for a few minutes. Brush off the excess powder. If you have dark hair, mix it with cocoa powder or cinnamon for a better blend.

Blotting paper or tissue paper

If you do not have powder or your scalp is slightly oily and you want to give it a final touch-up, then blotting paper or tissue paper can also be used. To use it, place a blotting sheet or tissue paper on the scalp and press it. Repeat this until the hair starts looking fresh again.
