If Arsenal manages to win all its remaining 12 matches, it could amass a total of 89 points. However, Liverpool could end up with 97 points if it secure victories in all its remaining 11 fixtures.

The two title contenders will face off on May 10, three games before the season concludes. A win for Liverpool in this match could seal its title victory.

However, the title could be decided even before this clash, which would mean Arsenal giving Liverpool a guard of honor at Anfield. Before facing the Reds, the Gunners still have challenging fixtures against Nottingham Forest, Chelsea, Fulham, and Bournemouth.

Slot's team is gearing up for matches against the underperforming Leicester and Southampton before a crucial home game against Arsenal. Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has conceded that the title race is no longer in their control.

"It's not in our hands. For me, I'm really, really annoyed with the things that were in our hands that we didn't do as well as we possibly could and that's the performance," he expressed his frustration following the loss to West Ham.

"The team that we played today, me included 100%, were nowhere near the levels that we have to hit to have the opportunity to win a Premier League game today. We were very consistent, yes, but football is about what you do today and today, it was nowhere near."

Slot, on the other hand, is keeping his squad concentrated on the immediate challenges. Reflecting on the fans' support and the unpredictability of the league, he commented: "The fans can sing whatever they want, I think they've sung it for quite long already, but we know as a team how hard we have to work for every single win.

"It was only three days ago, somebody asked me if we'd had a dip on Wednesday. I don't believe that as well as I am calm now about this win. I have said many times it is so hard to judge the league table before every single game is played."

"In every other league, I think a lead like this would be very comfortable – except for this one because in this league every single game gives you a lot of challenges, even Plymouth Argyle gave us a lot of challenges."
