Laxman Utekar’s period epic Chhaava starring Vicky Kaushal, Rashmika Mandanna and Akshaye Khanna continues to shatter records at the box office in India as well as overseas.
In its second weekend, Chhaava became the first Hindi film and the second Indian film after Pushpa 2: The Rule to hit over Rs 100 crore in Hindi.
In 10 days, the film has hit Rs 300 crore at the domestic box office becoming Vicky Kaushal’s biggest grosser beating Uri: The Surgical Strike which made Rs 245.36 crore in India and Rs 342.06 crore at the worldwide box office.

With the kind of biz Chhaava is doing, it is now on course to not only hit Rs 500 crore at the domestic box office but can also challenge the lifetime box office of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jawan (Rs 643.87 crore)which is currently the biggest Bollywood grosser of Hindi cinema.
Having said that, the Hindi biz of Pushpa 2: The Rule (Rs 812.14 crore)remains out of reach.
