Pakistani showbiz actress Rabya Kulsoom criticized the national cricket team for its loss to India and posted a message on social media.
In her message, Rabya Kulsoom criticized indirectly some members of the national cricket team but did not specify their names. She said, “I would like to request all brands to stop signing cricketers as brand ambassadors and let them do what they should be doing – which is play cricket.”
The actress also penned, “Let the actors do acting’s job, but if the cricketers are going to do the work of actors, then they may as well recruit actors in the team.”
Conveying her disappointment with the defeat against India, Rabya Kulsoom sarcastically posted that the national team’s captaincy could be given to Fahad Mustafa or Faizan Sheikh, because that could turn out to be more fruitful.
Earlier, Wasim Akram, the ex-captain, has vociferously criticized Pakistan’s disappointing performance in the Champions Trophy.
In a talk on a private television channel post-match, Wasim Akram openly vented his disappointment with the team’s poor strategy, poor gameplay, and overall below-par performance.
He declared that Pakistan’s cricket team is too used to losing and needs to bring new young, brave players into the white-ball setup. He maintained that even if that means getting rid of five or six top players and tasting defeat for the next six months, the side must provide newcomers a fair shot and complete backup
