Luigi Mangione fans are doing some serious sole searching.
And although most would not literally want to be in the accused killer’s shoes right now, his chic courtroom loafers are virally en vogue.
“This is going to be the new summer footwear fashion,” forecast a trend-spotter on Xhailing Mangione’s brown formal kicks as the hottest look of the forthcoming season.
The 26-year-old stepped out in the causal, sock-free style at his hearing Friday, when a Manhattan Supreme Court judge denied requests to delay his case in connection with the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
Mangione allegedly shot Thompson, 50, in the wee hours of the morning on Dec. 4. The jailed Gen Zer, who has pleaded not guilty, is currently being held in Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center.
For his ill-fated attempt to postpone legal proceedings, Mangione — who has amassed a gaggle of googly-eyed groupies — donned a bulletproof vest over a green cable-knit sweater, khaki slacks and the buzzy boat shoes.
Google searches for “Luigi Mangione loafers” spiked by 1,400% less than 24 hours after making their big debut beneath the apprehended heartthrob’s chained ankles, per WWD.
Virtual hunts for “Luigi Mangione outfits” also soared by 350% on Google.
The hysteria surrounding his latest ensemble mimics the mania that spurred over the maroon sweater Mangione wore during his initial date with the judge in late 2024.
The accused assassin’s die-hard supporters have sported similar tops, as well as “Free Luigi” gear, to his court appointments in stylish solidarity.
And his online admirers aren’t shy about expressing their undying devotion to the dapper detainee either.
“I have a Luigi Mangione foot fetish,” admitted an unabashed buff of the supposed assailant’s stuff.
One tweeter confessed that his bare ankles make them “sweat.”
“Girl porn is so different. It could be Luigi’s loafers,” another chimed in, with someone adding“I admit it: I didn’t get the Luigi thirst until I saw the loafers.”
“Luigi got on the cable knit sweater and the loafers … a stylish revolutionary,” tweeted an equally gaga gal.
“Take them shackles off his feet so he can dance,” ordered another.
“Free Luigi’s feet,” a foot fan echoed.
But the hunk may be cooling his heels in the clink for a while longer, as an official date for Mangione’s trial has yet to be set.
