There is no need to get confused thinking about the connection between cleaning burnt utensils and onions. If you want to clean your burnt pan, first take an onion and peel it. After peeling the onion, chop it finely or coarsely as per your choice. Now pour water in the burnt pan or vessel and leave it on the gas to heat.
Put chopped pieces of onion and some peels in hot water. After adding onions, if you want, you can also add one to two spoons of white vinegar to the water. Now let this solution of onion and vinegar boil for 5 to 7 minutes. When you feel that the water has boiled down to half or less, take out the peels and onions. Finally, clean the pan or utensil normally with soap and water.
Onion paste can also help you in cleaning burnt pan or utensils. For this, first take an onion and grate it or chop it finely. Now grind the onion with some water and make a thick paste.
Apply the onion paste thoroughly on the burnt pan or vessel with the help of a toothbrush or foam scrub. Leave the onion paste on the vessel for at least 1 to 2 hours. After the time is over, the pan can be cleaned with hot water and soap.
Avoid using iron or steel scrubbers to clean burnt pots and pans as these can leave marks on the pot.
