Bollywood celebrity Akshay Kumar was among millions of followers at the ongoing Maha Kumbh 2025 in Prayagraj, where he took part in the pious practice of a sacred dip at Triveni Sangam. The actor, who has been seen with a spiritual bent of mind, was all praise for the well-arranged facilities at the grand religious congregation.
In his visit on February 24, Akshay Kumar appreciated Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath for making it a smooth experience for the devotees. Speaking about his last visit to the Kumbh Mela in 2019, he said that the increased involvement of high-profile personalities, such as industrialists and celebrities from Bollywood, is a proof of the enhanced facilities.
The Maha Kumbh 2025 has seen a record-breaking crowd, with devotees from all over the world converging at the holy triveni of the Ganga, Yamuna, and the legendary Saraswati rivers. Besides Akshay Kumar, a number of Bollywood celebrities like Vicky Kaushal, Katrina Kaif, Boney Kapoor, and Rajkummar Rao were also seen diving into the spiritual experience.
This year’s Maha Kumbh, which began on January 13, will be over on February 26, the culmination of one of the most important religious festivals in Hinduism. Though he has a hectic shooting schedule, Akshay Kumar ensured that he was a part of this sacred festival, highlighting the strong cultural and spiritual importance of the Kumbh Mela.
Earlier, Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar, widely known by his nickname “Khiladi,” has faced a ban on his latest film Sky Force in several Middle Eastern countries.
Maddock Films produced this movie, which revolves around India’s first-ever aerial strike, a historical event. It was released in cinemas on India’s Republic Day. Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, Nimrat Kaur, Sharad Kelkar, and debutant Veer Pahariya play the lead role in the movie. Sandeep Kelwani and Abhishek Anil Kapoor have directed it. The production credits go to Jyoti Deshpande, Dinesh Vijan, and Amar Kaushik.
But this movie has been banned in various Middle Eastern countries like the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and Oman.
