New Delhi: The Champions Trophy 2025 has entered its decisive phase with the tournament nearing its climax. India and New Zealand have already secured their spots in the semi-finals becoming the first two teams to advance. New Zealand confirmed their place with a commanding five-wicket win over Bangladesh. Meanwhile India has enjoyed a strong start securing victories over both Bangladesh and Pakistan in their opening matches. With the knockout stage approaching fans are eager to know which team the Men in Blue will face in the semi-finals. Who Will India Play In Semi-Final? With 4 points from 2 games India are set to face New Zealand in their final group match of the Champions Trophy on March 2 (Sunday) in Dubai. A victory in this game would secure them the top spot in the group. If India finishes first they will compete against the runner-up of Group A which includes Australia South Africa England and Afghanistan. Should India lose their final match against the Kiwis they would end up second in Group A. In that scenario the Men in Blue would face the team that secures the top spot in Group A. South Africa and Australia currently lead the group with 2 points each. As a result they are the strongest contenders to qualify from Group B provided they secure victories in one or both of their remaining matches. When Will India Play the Semi-Final? Regardless of their final position in the group standings India will compete in their semi-final match on Tuesday March 4 at the Dubai International Stadium in Dubai. New Zealand confirmed their spot in the 2025 Champions Trophy semi-final alongside India with a five-wicket victory over Bangladesh. The Kiwis successfully chased down the 237-run target with 23 balls to spare thanks to a crucial 129-run partnership between Rachin Ravindra and Tom Latham. Ravindra marked his Champions Trophy debut with a century. Earlier Bangladesh posted a total of 236 in their must-win encounter against New Zealand. Najmul Hossain Shanto led the scoring for Bangladesh with 77 runs while Jaker Ali contributed 45 off 55 balls. On the bowling front Michael Bracewell delivered an exceptional performance claiming four wickets while William ORourke took one scalp.
