Dandruff, that is, the falling of white dandruff from the scalp, is a common problem that troubles millions of people. It is not just a cosmetic issue but can also be a major health problem. Sometimes it is mild, but for many people, it becomes a persistent and serious problem. However, not everyone has dandruff, but it affects some people more.

There can be many reasons behind dandruff, including excessive oily or dry scalp, skin conditions, hormonal changes, wrong eating habits, and poor scalp hygiene. Today in this article, we will tell you why dandruff occurs and in which people the problem of dandruff is more visible. Also, what are the remedies to remove it?

Who has more dandruff problems?

1. People with oily scalp

If your scalp is very oily, then you may have more complaints of dandruff. In a condition called Seborrheic Dermatitis, the scalp produces more oil, which causes fungus and bacteria to grow rapidly and causes dandruff.

Solution: If you also have an oily scalp and are struggling with dandruff, then you should use a mild and anti-dandruff shampoo. Also, do not let the hair become too oily, and shampoo at least twice a week.

2. People with dry skin

If your skin remains very dry, then also there can be a problem of dandruff. This problem increases more in winter because cold and dry air removes moisture from the skin.

Solution: Avoid hot water showers, because hot water can make the skin more dry. Apply light oil to the hair regularly. Use products that moisturize the scalp.

3. Due to lack of proper cleaning of hair

Washing hair less can also cause dandruff. If you do not clean your hair for many days, dirt, oil and dead skin cells accumulate on the scalp, which causes dandruff.

Solution: Shampoo at least 2-3 times a week. If you sweat a lot, increase the frequency of shampooing. Clean the scalp from time to time and also do the scrubbing.

4. People with weak immune system

If your immune system is weak, the body is unable to fight bacteria and fungus well. Due to this, a fungus called Malassezia grows rapidly on the scalp and can cause dandruff.

Solution: Take a healthy diet that is rich in proteins, vitamins and minerals. Reduce the intake of more processed food and sugar. Exercise regularly and eat foods that boost immunity.
