SSC CGL 2024: The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has issued the final vacancy list for the Combined Graduate Level Examination (CGL) 2024. According to the list, the commission now aims to fill 18,174 vacancies. Aspirants can view and download the post-wise distribution of vacancies pdf from the SSC's official website at ssc.gov.in.

Earlier, SSC opened 17,727 vacancies for Group B' and 'C' central government. The SSC CGL Tier 1 scorecard was out on December 5, 2025, and after that, those candidates who were shortlisted appeared in the tier 2 exam which was held from January 18 to 20 and on January 31, 2025.

SSC CGL 2024: Option-cum-preference

Along with this, applicants can also fill out the option-cum-preference form for the posts and departments. The process will be concluded up to February 27 at 5 pm.

According to the notice, Aspirants should keep in mind that the Option-cum-Preference(s) can only be changed during the aforementioned period, and the Option-cum-Preference(s) most recently submitted by the applicant will be considered final. Aspirants should make sure that after filling out their choices, they click the "SUBMIT" button. Students who refuse to exercise their Option-cum-Preference(s) during the preceding time frame will not be granted any further chance to submit their Option-cum-Preference(s), and those applicants are not eligible for placement in the final merit list/final selection.

SSC CGL 2025: Result

The commission will release the final result after considering the option-cum-preference but in case applicants fail to submit their choices within the time limit then they will not be considered for the final result.
