New Delhi: This story is of the Nawab of Awadh, which is called “Rangeela Nawab”. He was always surrounded by women and was immersed in ras-rang. It was the only Nawab in the country, which female bodyguards protected. He had especially appointed African black women for their safety. He had officially performed 365 marriages, and hardly anyone has reached equal in the case of divorce. At the age of just eight, her first relationship was formed with a middle -aged servant. Everyone must have heard the name of Nawab Wajid Ali Shah of Awadh. His contribution from cuisine to dance and other arts was amazing. But he was also a limit. Most of his time was spent among eunuchs, beautiful women and sarangi players.

New wedding every day

In a phase of life, Nawab Wajid Ali Shah used to perform one or more marriages daily. It is said that he had married more than the days of the year.

British exiled

When the British captured Awadh and forced the Nawab to go to Kolkata, they also tried to settle the world like Lucknow there. Three major states emerged in India after Aurangzeb's death, including Awadh. The state existed for nearly 130 years, but the East India Company took it under its control.

Nawab's queens palace

In Kolkata, the Nawab settled his own jagir named “Garden Ridge” on the river bank, where he spent the last 30 years of life. There was a zoo in this fiefdom and a “tarnker”, where all his wives lived. Wajid Ali Shah used to call his wives “fairies”. The “fairy” was called the bonds that the Nawab liked and he used to get temporary marriages. If a “angel” had become the mother of the Nawab's child, she was called the “palace”.

More than 375 marriages

He was also criticized for the number of wives. According to writer Rosie Livel Jones, she had around 375 marriages in the last days of her life. According to his descendants, the Nawab was such a sacred person that he used to keep a woman in his service only when he used to get temporary marriages. He believed that being alone with a woman is appropriate only when he is his wife.

African wives

In 1843, Nawab married an African woman named Yasmin Mahal. He had small, black, curly hair and was different from his appearance Indians. His second African wife's name was Strange Khanam.

Nawab's first relation

According to Rosie Jones's book, the Nawab's first relationship was made up of a middle -aged servant at the age of eight, who forcefully formed the relationship with the Nawab. This series lasted for two years. Later, when she went to the servant, another servant named Amiran came, which also made the relationship of the Nawab.

Tarkhana: Nawab's autobiography

Wajid Ali Shah also wrote his autobiography, named “Parikhana”. It is also called “Ishqnama”. The Nawab wrote about 60 books, but after his death, the British disappeared several of his books from his museum.

Wives had to leave at the last minute

When the British sent the Nawab from Lucknow to Kolkata, they had already left many temporary and permanent wives. Even by going to Kolkata, he performed marriages in wholesale prices and also divorced him at the same pace. The British were angry with this act, and the Nawab gradually got caught in the financial crisis. Due to compensation and salary burden of employees, he started drowning in debt.
