Udupi: A foreign boat found moving suspiciously near St. Mary’s Island, Malpe, was seized by personnel from the Malpe CSP police station and Mangaluru Coastal Security Police. Three individuals have been arrested.

The arrested individuals have been identified as James Franklin (50), Robin Stan (50), and Deroze Alphonso (38), all natives of Tamil Nadu. They have been remanded to judicial custody.

The boat had set sail from Duqm Fishing Harbor in Oman on February 17 and reached Malpe via Karwar. According to investigating officials, no suspicious items were found during the inspection.
