Seasoned cueist Loukic Pathare and Kaizad Fitter recorded easy straight frames 3-0 victories in a first-round qualifying match of the CCI Snooker Classic 2025, an all-India tournament, played at the CCI’s Wilson Jones billiards hall on Tuesday.
The Chembur Gymkhana cueist Pathare potted steadily and eased past Ishan Nagar by a quick 65-37, 63-52, and 73-20 frame scores to advance to the second round, while the Bombay Gymkhana player Fitter faced quite a challenge from Pramod Shah but managed to come through, winning in straight frames, as he coasted to a 52-43, 65-27, and 59-47 success.
Meanwhile, Mehraz Memon played with plenty of determination and after losing the first frame did well to get the better of Surya Teja 3-2 (34-61, 72-37, 44-61, 70-32, and 62-32) victory.
Rishi Ramaiya also scored a hard-fought 3-2 win against Rahul Narang in another first round encounter. Ramaiya prevailed at 55-17, 36-69, 38-58, 59-47, and 59-32 win.
