New Delhi: Chhaava is dominating the Box Office with full force and there is no stopping it. You will be amazed to know that the historical film, on its sixth day in cinemas, managed to attract significant footfalls to theaters. As a result, it has now joined the prestigious Rs 200 crore club.
According to Sacnilk, early estimates suggest that the much-talked-about movie raked in Rs 22 crore on Thursday (February 20, 2025). If the numbers turn out to be accurate, the film’s total collection now stands at Rs 219.75 crore at the Indian Box Office.
In terms of global figures, industry trackers further state that Chhaava has minted Rs 270 crore at the worldwide Box Office. Now, it will be interesting to see how the film performs during its second weekend. It is to be noted that the Laxman Utekar directorial is reportedly the highest-grossing Indian film of 2025. It also holds the record for the biggest-ever opening for a historical Hindi movie.
According to PTI, the Goa government announced on Wednesday (February 19, 2025) that Chhaava would be tax-free in the state. Chief Minister Pramod Sawant made the announcement through a post on X (formerly Twitter), stating that the sacrifice of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj is an inspiration for the people.

The film also features rashmika mandanna as yesubai bhonsale, akshaye khanna as aurangzeb, diana penty as zinat-nissa begum, ashutosh rana as hambirrarao mohite, dutta as Soyairabai and Soyairaabai Vineet Kumar Singh as Kavi Kalash. Produced by Dinesh Vijan Under Maddock Films, Chhaava is said to be an adaptation of the Marathi Novel Chhava by Shivaji Sawant. It was released in theaters on February 14, 2025, Coinciding with the Joyous Occination of Valentine's Day.
