This case has come up in Kolkata. Two women were trying to hide a dead body locked in a suitcase in the Ganges river in Kolkata on Tuesday. At the same time, the local people caught the mother-daughter red-handed. Both women Falguni Ghosh and his mother Aarti Ghosh have been arrested by the police. The body has been identified as Sumita Ghosh (55), sister of father -in -law of Phalguni Ghosh.

What is the whole matter?

Both mother and daughter were first seen with a blue trolley bag on the banks of the Ganges in Kumratuli, North Kolkata at around 8 am. The local people chased him in view of his suspicious activity and asked him to open the bag. The women first refused to open the bag. After asking for a long time, he told that he was taking his pet dog's remains in the bag.

One person said that women were not ready to open the bag under any circumstances and she was claiming that she was carrying the remains of her pet dog.

Dead body in suitcase

Meanwhile, all the local people informed the police about this after the whole matter came to light and after the people standing on the Ganges. Police reached the spot. When the police forcibly opened the trolley bag, the blood -soaked body of a woman was found inside. Before arrest, both were taken to the police station and questioned.

Accused Falguni gave a statement to the police. Falguni said that the body found in Sutcase belongs to one of his relatives. Falguni said, the deceased's name is Sumita, who is the sister of her father -in -law. Police sources said that Sumita, a native of Jorhat, Assam, has separated from her husband and was living with a mother-daughter at her Kolkata residence since 11 February.

Police took action

A senior Kolkata Police official said that Sumita was killed during a sharp clash with Phalguni on Monday evening.

The police officer said, Phalguni does not have good relations with her husband and she lives separately. He had a fight at around 4 pm on Monday evening. Falguni pushed the deceased on the wall and she fainted. When he regained consciousness, another strong fight started. During this time, Phalguni allegedly stabbed his face and neck with a brick, killing him.

After this, the mother-daughter put the body in a trolley bag and tried to throw it into the river. A case of unnatural death has been registered at the North Port Police Station, while the body has been sent to Kolkata Medical College for postmortem. The case has been transferred to Barasat District Police.
