Singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi visits Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga on Mahashivratri

On the festival of Maha Shivratri, well-known devotional singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi went to the Shri Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga Temple in Ujjain to ask Lord Shiva for blessings. For the holy visit, he was joined by his spouse, Komal Saklani.

 

Renowned for his Bhakti songs such as “Mera Bhola Hai Bhandari,” “Bhole,” and “Mahadeva,” Hansraj Raghuwanshi observed Maha Shivratri by praying at one of the twelve holy Jyotirlingas.

The musician showed his devotion to Lord Shiva while wearing a saffron scarf and a yellow kurta.

The ‘Mahadeva’ singer expressed his appreciation for Mahakal’s blessings in an interview with ANI. “I’ve always been blessed by Mahakal. I asked God to keep blessing me. “May Mahakal continue to bring happiness to all,” he remarked. During the conversation, he also performed a few lyrics from his well-known song, “Shiv sama rahe.”

A few words from his well-known song “Shiv sama rahe” were also heard throughout the conversation.

Hansraj and his spouse also prayed at the Omkareshwar Temple in the Khandwa area of Madhya Pradesh prior to their visit to Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga.

Komal posted pictures of the singer dousing the Shiva Lingam with water on Instagram.

Additionally, Hansraj has scheduled a live performance in Ujjain on Maha Shivratri as part of Vikramotsav 2025. The Ujjain Dussehra Ground is the planned venue for the event.
Hansraj Raghuwanshi, a devout devotee of Lord Shiva, has used a number of devotional songs, such as “Shiv Shiv Shankara,” “Mahadeva,” “Bholenath Ji,” and “Laagi Lagan Shankara,” to convey his spiritual connection.
