UK snow maps show '3cm per hour' storm and torrential rain tomorrow – 1 area spared

Horror weather maps have shown the arrival of this week, with flurries expected to hit all regions - except for one.

maps from WXCharts show the country will be hit by a strong combination of both . They show rain is expected across, including , the east and west from 6am, and up towards the north of the country from 9am.

will also be hit by the deluge as frequent showers hit the UK until at least 3pm. Meanwhile, snow is also forecast for some - including in the North West, including ,and the North East of the country. The data suggests snow could be falling at a rate of around 3cm per hour were flurries are most intense in North Wales. The only place in the country not to be affected by rain or snow looks to be northern .

The ’s forecast for today and into tomorrow reads: “A day of sunshine and scattered showers. Showers most frequent across the north and west. Some of the showers could be heavy, with hail and thunder. Snow is also possible across the Scottish mountains. Feeling a little cooler than yesterday.

“[Tonight] a chilly evening, with a few showers still possible. Dry for eastern areas overnight, whilst cloud and rain will move into the west. A patchy frost under the clearest skies.

Meanwhile, 10 flood warnings - meaning it is expected - are currently in place for today, including in Lodsbridge, Frome, Stour Hampshire and Wey. Further 80 alerts, meaning it is possible, are also in place across the country.
