He commended the police officers’ discipline and forbearance. He said that the ‘Mahakumbh Seva Medal’ and a citation will be given to 75,000 those who served during Mahakumbh. In addition, all police officers would gradually be given a week’s vacation, and non-gazetted officers will earn a special incentive of Rs 10,000.

In his speech, CM Yogi recognized the tremendous difficulty of planning Mahakumbh and gave the police force’s combined efforts credit for its accomplishment.

He said, “We took it to new heights, but a huge event like Mahakumbh presented a big challenge.” We would have come up with excuses if we had just addressed the issues. Rather, by looking for answers, we found new avenues. We took the solution route and made it the largest event in the world.

He highlighted that Mahakumbh has turned into a symbol of India’s cultural diversity and economic advancement, alluding to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s aim of a “Divine, Grand, and Digital Kumbh.”

“Only those who have truly experienced Mahakumbh can understand its scale and significance,” he said in response to criticism. Sitting in a corner and making hurtful remarks is simple.

CM Yogi commended the police force’s discipline and patience, pointing out that they remained calm despite shooting people.

He also said that Prayagraj Mahakumbh received an unparalleled economic boost of Rs 3.5 lakh crore from an investment of Rs 7,000 crore made by the Uttar Pradesh government. “Faith and economic progress have never been so closely associated elsewhere in the world. According to Indian elders, success and riches come easily to those who pursue the correct path and respect religion. This has been shown to be true by Mahakumbh.

The Chief Minister praised the police force’s competence and commitment, emphasizing their crucial role in overseeing Mahakumbh’s enormous scope. Despite Prayagraj’s permanent population of 25 lakh, 1.5 to 2 crore people arrived every day for the festival. 66 crore, 30 lakh devotees have attended this magnificent event so far.

According to him, the president, vice president, prime minister, union ministers, governors from every state, the majority of chief ministers, ambassadors from 100 countries, and heads of state from 12 countries, together with their compatriots, honored the occasion. He commended the police, paramilitary forces, home guards, PRD, water police, traffic police, NDRF, SDRF, and PAC for their excellent work, which was widely appreciated.

started reforming the police:

CM Yogi discussed police reforms and reaffirmed his commitment to bettering working conditions since assuming office in 2017.

“I immediately decided to take action after seeing the poor condition of police lines in Lucknow, where personnel slept on cots under broken roofs,” he claimed. The biggest police barrack structures are being built in each district, and the UP Police now has a budget of Rs 40,000 crore. The restoration of 54 PAC companies that had been dissolved, the creation of three women’s battalions, and the hiring of 1.56 lakh police officers—with the procedure for an additional 60,000 in progress—were among the noteworthy milestones he also noted. The government intends to hire an additional 30,000 police officers in the future. Yogi Adityanath pointed out that although Uttar Pradesh was dealing with riots, mafia control, and instability in 2017, it has now turned into a desirable place to invest.

“The very mafia who once roamed as VIPs now shudder when confronted by our police,” he said. During Mahakumbh, the Chief Minister praised the police for their outstanding efforts in disaster relief, crowd control, and security. “Within 15 to 20 minutes, the injured received medical care through a green corridor,” he said, referring to a regrettable occurrence on Mauni Amavasya. Within ten minutes, fire issues were mitigated, guaranteeing no fatalities.

CM Yogi emphasized the importance of Mahakumbh, saying that it not only improved India’s reputation abroad but also provided Uttar Pradesh a unique national identity.

He congratulated the police personnel and said that 15 crore people visited Mahakumbh between January 28 and 30 alone. He stated, “This is the result of your efficiency and sensitivity—everyone who came took a dip in the Sangam, felt overwhelmed, and left with gratitude.” If any police officers had not yet taken a bath at the Sangam, he urged them to do so while on duty and to bring the sacred water with them. After this exchange, CM Yogi thanked the police officers for their efforts and had dinner with them.
