Bihar Police SI Vacancy 2025: The online application process for the Sub-Inspector Prohibition recruitment released by the Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission (BPSC) has started today from 27 February 2025. The link for the online application has become active. Through this recruitment, 28 vacancies of Sub Inspector will be filled in the Prohibition, Excise, and Registration Department of the State Government. Interested and eligible candidates can apply till 27 March 2025 by visiting bpssc.bih.nic.in.

The application of any candidate will not be accepted after the last date of application, so the candidates are advised to apply in time.

Educational Qualification

Candidates must have passed a graduate examination from a recognized university or an equivalent examination recognized by the State Government.

Age Limit

The minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 37 years for male candidates.

The minimum age is 20 years and the maximum age is 40 years for female candidates.

Age will be calculated based on 1st August 2024.

Age relaxation will be provided to reserved category candidates.

Selection Process
The selection process includes a written test, a physical test, and document verification. The written examination will be held in two stages - preliminary and main examination. All the papers of the written examination will be based on multiple-choice questions.

Exam Pattern
The preliminary examination will have a paper of 200 marks. In which the total number of questions will be 100 and the duration of the exam will be 2 hours. In this, questions related to general knowledge and current issues will be asked. Candidates getting less than 30 percent marks will be declared unsuccessful for the main examination. Candidates are advised to visit the official website and get complete information through the notification.

At the same time, there will be two papers in the main examination. The first paper of 200 marks of General Hindi will be of 2 hours and will have 100 questions and it will be mandatory to get minimum qualifying marks of 30 percent. The marks obtained in the General Hindi paper will not be added to the merit determination. The second paper will be related to General Studies, General Science, Civics, Indian History, Indian Geography, Mathematics, and Mental Ability Tests. The second paper will have a total of 200 of which the total number of questions will be 100 and the duration of the exam will be 2 (two) hours.

Application Fee
The application fee for candidates of general and unreserved categories, as well as candidates from outside the state, has been fixed at Rs 700. At the same time, the application fee for Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), and female candidates of Bihar state has been kept at Rs 400.

The selected candidates will get a salary under Level 6, which is determined as per the rules of the Bihar Police Department.

Click on the registration link on the website and fill in your details.

After registration, you will get a login ID and password.

Log in and fill in the application form. This will require you to fill in your educational qualifications and other details.

Upload the required documents like a photo and signature along with the application form.

Finally, take a printout of the application form.
