Maha Kumbh achieved great success thanks to the media: CM Yogi

During his visit to Prayagraj on Thursday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath spoke with media representatives at the Digital Media Centre. He commended the media for making the Maha Kumbh a world-renowned occasion.

During the Maha Kumbh-2025, the Chief Minister emphasized how spirituality and the economics came together as a single goal. He said that it was clear that the Prime Minister’s goal of fusing religion and business had been accomplished. Uttar Pradesh has effectively shown that it has a great deal of potential for spiritual tourism. “Last year, 650 million devotees and tourists visited various pilgrimage sites in Uttar Pradesh,” he said. Among them were Gorakhpur, Shuktirth, Naimisharanya, Ayodhya Dham, Kashi, Mathura-Vrindavan, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, and Maa Vindhyavasini Dham.

In only 45 days, 66.3 million visitors and devotees came to Prayagraj alone, breaking previous records. Additionally, five spiritual tourist routes in Uttar Pradesh have been made possible by the Prayagraj Maha Kumbh: 1. From Prayagraj to Kashi and Mirzapur 2. From Prayagraj to Gorakhpur and Ayodhya 3. From Prayagraj to Chitrakoot, Lalpur, and Rajapur 4. Prayagraj to Naimisharanya and Lucknow 5. Through the Bundelkhand Expressway and Agra, from Prayagraj to Mathura-Vrindavan Hundreds of thousands of devotees have been taking part in these pilgrimages for over a month and a half. During this time, more than 100 nations were represented in Prayagraj, including ministers or heads of state from 12 of them, as well as ambassadors and high commissioners from 74 of them.

According to the Chief Minister, Prayagraj was the first time that the Akshay Vat Corridor, Maa Saraswati Koop Corridor, Patalpuri Corridor, Bade Hanuman Ji Corridor, Maharishi Bhardwaj Corridor, Nagvasuki Corridor, Shringverpur Corridor, and Dwadash Madhav Corridor were on display. From a tourist standpoint, these 12 distinct routes have been designed to draw every visitor.
