WhatsApp has started its voice message transcript feature in India. The platform announced this feature in November last year. But now you can do on-device processing to create a text transcript of a voice message. This feature has started showing on WhatsApp's Android app. It can be started on the iOS app soon. This means that now you will not need to listen to voice messages in public. You can transcribe the voice message. After which this message comes in front of you in written form.

Transcript language?

You are currently not getting support for the Hindi language for the transcript language. But through this feature, text transcript can be seen for voice notes recorded in Hindi. Officially this feature includes English, Spanish, Portuguese, and Russian languages. This feature of WhatsApp can prove to be very helpful. With this feature, you can continue your conversation. It does not matter where you are. You will be able to read the voice message instead of listening to it in front of everyone.

How to use the new feature?

According to Meta, transcripts on the instant messaging platform are created entirely on the device itself. WhatsApp will also not have access to its audio or text. How to activate voice message transcript

If you want to enable voice message transcript by default, then you can activate it with the help of this process. For this, first open WhatsApp settings. Here you go to the chat section.

Select the option of voice message transcript. After this enable it. To select the language, select a language from the list given here. Click on the option of Set up.

You can click on the option of More at any time. Go to the settings and go to the chat option. After this, you can change the transcript language by clicking on the transcript option.

To transcribe a voice note in a chat, press and hold the voice message for a few seconds. Go to More and click Transcribe. Text Transcript What is said in the voice note will appear in the text box.
