A Reddit post of a job seeker sharing his frustration over an exhausting, multi-stage interview process that ended in a rejection has gone viral. The internet is furious after knowing the candidate appeared for four rounds of interviews with the CEO but didn't get selected. He took to social media and detailed his ordeal about the endless series of interviews, calling it an "FBI-level interrogation".

Notably, the person had applied for an entry-level position listing down 3-4 references. However, he wasn't selected despite receiving positive feedback during most interview sessions. He slammed the hiring process at the undisclosed company and called it a "waste of time".
In the post, the Reddit user narrated his ordeal and stated the process began with a standard screening interview with his to-be manager. Things then went forward with a panel interview involving five people, including the company’s CEO. Not stopping there, the company requested three professional references, who were also interviewed before they could give the candidate a confirmation. Despite receiving glowing feedback on these references, the company insisted on yet another round of interviews. Well, he didn't pull himself back from the annoying task for obvious reasons.

Wanting to get a job, he shared another reference with the company. "They gave me big fake smiles and said I’ll hear from them by the end of the week", he wrote, revealing he only got a message of being rejected after the tedious interview process.

"FBI-level interrogation"

The job seeker was left stunned when, instead of an offer, he received a rejection note. To make matters worse, the company immediately reposted the job opening, once again, sparking further frustration.

"Who the f**k does an FBI-level interrogation and wastes this many people's time for an entry-level job?" the Redditor vented in the post.

"I’m pissed off that they wasted my time and especially that they wasted my references time. It’s taking everything in me not to send a snarky reply to the rejection email and put them on blast right now", the Reddit user wrote further.

Netizens react

The post quickly garnered attention from fellow Reddit users, many of whom shared feelings of disbelief and outrage. "This is ridiculous", one user commented. Another said, "What in the heck is going on?"
