Market Crash: From Patanjali To Tata Tech, BSE Mid Cap Stocks Bleed As Indian Indices Slump

The Indian markets are trading with colossal losses on Friday, March 28. After a day of relative calm on March 27, all the marquee indices are trading with deep cuts. The BSE Sensex has lost over 1,000 points. The Nifty 50 index has shed over 300 points.

'Mid' Mid Cap

In this mayhem, one of the most heavily hit are the Mid Cap and Small Cap companies listed on the BSE.

When it comes to the BSE Mid Cap section, many major names are losing like there is no tomorrow.

The BSE Mid Cap resembles a wall painted in red, as some of the laggards include Mphasis, Container Corporation of India, Tata Tech, Bayer Corp., and Petronet, among others. When it comes to gainers, they are far and few.

Patanjali Foods Ltd

When we look further at the losers of the day, Patanjali is one of the biggest losers of the day.

The company shares have declined by a colossal 10.13 per cent or Rs 183.65. This took the overall value of the company shares to Rs 1,628.95, at the time of writing.

Indian Renewable Energy Dev Agency Ltd

The Indian Renewable Energy Dev Agency or IREDA was another major loser will losses of 7.58 per cent or Rs 12.62 from its price from yesterday's trade.

This brought the overall value down to Rs 153.89 per share.

This development comes to pass after 5 stocks, including IREDA Ltd., Tata Technologies Ltd., Patanjali Foods Ltd., Titagarh Rail Ltd. and IIFL Finance Ltd began trading with Futures & Options (F&O).

Oracle Financial Services Software Ltd

Larry Ellison-led Oracle's Indian-arm Oracle Financial Services Software also its shares suffer on Friday, as the company shares declined by 6.15 per cent or Rs 497.20, taking the overall value to Rs 7,585.05 per piece.

Star Health and Allied Insurnc Cmpny Ltd

One of the companies that stood out in the chaos was insurance company, Star Health.

The company shares made gains of 2.99 per cent or Rs 10.90. This took the overall value of Star Health shares to Rs 375.45 per piece.
