Rajasthan News: In Sikandarpur village of Hindaun Sadar police station area of Karauli district, a woman was murdered by her son and her body was buried in a mustard field. On receiving the information, the police administration took out the body. The woman's elder son Bhur Singh submitted a report that on February 23, his younger brother Dayal Jatav, drunk, reached his mother Lakhan Bai who was sleeping on the farm late at night and asked for money to buy drugs. When the mother refused to give him money, he strangled her to death and buried the body by digging a pit in the field itself.
Three days after the incident, the accused told his sister-in-law the entire incident, after which the police reached the spot, took out the body buried in the field and handed over the body to the family after post-mortem by the medical board. Special teams formed by District Superintendent of Police Brijesh Jyoti Upadhyay conducted a vigorous search and arrested the accused Dayal Jatav.
Police officer Devendra Kumar said that the accused was addicted to drugs. On the night of 23 February, around 1:00, Dayal Jatav went to his 60-year-old mother sleeping on the field to guard the mustard field and asked for money to buy drugs, but when his mother refused to give him money, he first attacked her with an axe to take the jewellery worn by his mother, and then strangled her to death. After this, he hid the body at the same place at night. The next day, to destroy the evidence, the accused dug a pit in the field and buried the body. Three cases of assault and murderous attack have already been registered against the accused. The police is engaged in rigorous interrogation of the accused.
