The official beginning of spring is just weeks away, and has released an array of new furniture and home accessories to help you welcome the new season into your home. Along with a selection of pastel-hued home accessories to add a splash of colour to your space, there are also plenty of larger furniture items that will last for years to come. With payday now here, I'm already considering treating myself to some new homeware - and a few items have caught my eye.

As a shopping editor (and self-proclaimed interiors fanatic), I'm always looking through the latest ranges from my favourite brands, including and . But, when it comes to affordable options that rival more expensive retailers, Dunelm is a shop I go back to time and time again. Arguably, one of Dunelm's best attributes (aside from its purse-friendly pricing) is that it doesn't just cater to one style but offers a whole spectrum of home furnishings to match any home's aesthetic.

You can. Or keep scrolling for some of my top picks from the new-in collection.

Starting strong with one of my most expensive picks from the Dunelm new in range, but also the item I've been swooning over the hardest, the snuggle chair is the latest in the brand's selection of cosy armchairs. The snuggle chair range already features a traditional stripe pattern, which I have had my eye on for months, but .

Slightly wider than your typical armchair, the snuggle chair is perfect for curling up with a book or while watching the television. Plus, there's plenty of room for a couple of throw pillows.

Featuring an earthy green palette enhanced with a splash of pastel pink detailing, it's a great way to bring colour into the home without being overwhelming. Speaking previously to Express.co.uk, , 's director of interior design, explained that green is the colour she always recommends to people looking to add a splash of colour to their home.

She explained: "People love it, and it's also what I call 'nature's neutral'. It's always going to work. It pretty much goes in pairs with every other colour. It's such a lovely, safe option when people are a bit nervous about bringing colour into their homes. Green is just honestly where I guide people to go towards."

If you're anything like me, your bedside table can quickly become piled with books, notepads, and jewellery. Having a hidden storage compartment is great for keeping your bedroom looking organised and stylish. That's why I have gravitated towards the .

Though it isn't made from solid wood (the main body is made from particle board and MDF), the natural wood-like finish, which comes in a darker and lighter finish, offers the same aesthetic. Luckily, the legs are made from solid pine, offering a sturdy base.

The sliding door also features a rattan panel, which has been a key trend over the last couple of years. Rattan furnishings conform to the principles of several popular design trends, such as Scandi, minimalism, Bohemian, and Japandi.

Inside the bedside table, you'll find two shelves perfect for storing books if you're a bedtime reader like me, saving the space on the table for a lovely lamp.

Last year, experts from named curved furniture one of the top trends of 2024, and though we're in a new year, it seems the rounded edges and wiggly shapes are here to stay. This is an excellent option if you want to add soft furniture elements to your home without investing in anything too big.

In terms of practicality, I love having a console table by my front door as it means somewhere I can easily pop my keys or mail when I get home. Though I'd keep it in the hallway, the size of the table makes it a versatile piece that could also work in living rooms to display vases, photo frames and other trinkets.

Crafted from rich mango wood, and retails for £299.

Frilled cushions seem to be everywhere at the moment, with everyone from to stocking frilly pillows. And it seems the cottage-core trend isn't going anywhere. Dunelm already has an array of frill-edged cushions to choose from, but now they've introduced a new, pastel blue shade to the range.

I've already embraced the style, having previously bought some , but this pastel blue shade is next on my wishlist. Baby blue is very much in vogue at the moment, a natural evolution of what has been described as the "coastal grandma" design trend. Soft, airy shades can lighten and brighten a room, but in recent months, interior design influencers have paired blues with shades of pillar box red for a bolder look.

The versatile is an easy way to incorporate both trends into your space. And, at a purse-friendly £12, it won't break the bank. If blue isn't for you, the pillow comes in various colours: beige, lilac, pink, green and apricot.

The famous Gluggle Jug has been an iconic piece of British design since the 1800s when Thomas Forester & Sons invented the original. Most people associate these jugs with the British Dartmouth Pottery, which first gave the jug its fish-shaped design. But original versions of these well-known jugs can go for upwards of £100.

In recent years, Glugge-style Jugs have been , but now Dunelm has come to the rescue with the , made by Wade Pottery Brand based in Stoke-on-Trent. They're quirky and might not be suited to everyone's taste, but I've been after one for a while. Though initially developed as water vessels, I think they make great vases and look gorgeous holding a spring bouquet.

Dunelm's Wade Fish Jug comes in various colours, including white, grey, teal, green and blue. The jug , depending on which size best suits your space.
