Cyber Fraud Alert: Hackers Can Steal Your Money Without an OTP!

Online fraudsters are coming up with new ways to steal money, and now they don’t even need an OTP or PIN to hack your bank account. Recently, a 26-year-old woman from New Delhi narrowly escaped a scam when she received a fake gift voucher message asking for her bank details. Her alertness saved her from becoming a victim.

How Does This Online Scam Work?

🔹 Fake SMS and Links – Hackers send fake messages claiming to offer gift vouchers, cashback, or discounts from banks, e-commerce sites, or reputed brands.
🔹 Call Merging Scam – Scammers merge two calls and eavesdrop on OTPs or banking details to steal money.
🔹 RAT (Remote Access Trojan) Attack – Fraudsters trick users into downloading malicious APK files or fake apps, gaining full control over their phone.

How to Stay Safe from Online Fraud?

Never click on unknown links, especially those promising gifts or offers.
Do not share your banking details with anyone.
Avoid merging calls, even if someone claims it's a VIP or bank call.
Download apps only from official app stores to prevent malware.
Report suspicious activities to the cyber crime cell immediately.
