Xiaomi 15 Ultra launched: The Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the company's newest flagship smartphone with many premium features, has been formally unveiled. The state-of-the-art Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Elite SoC powers the phone, guaranteeing lightning-fast performance. 

The Leica-tuned quad-camera configuration promises amazing images and movies, making it a favorite among photography aficionados. It is a formidable competitor for high-end smartphones due to its elegant and sophisticated design.

Xiaomi's HyperOS 2 operating system (OS), which is based on Android 15, powers the dual SIM (Nano) Xiaomi 15 Ultra. It has a 6.73-inch (1440 x 3200 pixel) LTPO AMOLED screen with a maximum brightness of 3,200 nits and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The panel supports Dolby Vision and HDR 10+ and has a touch sampling rate of 300 Hz. Up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM, up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, and an Adreno 830 GPU are all included in its powerful octa-core 3nm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, which has a maximum clock speed of 4.32GHz. 

Regarding optics, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra has a quad rear camera system housed in a round, central module. A 50-megapixel Sony LYT900 primary sensor with optical image stabilization (OIS) and a fixed f/1.63 aperture, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX858 sensor with f/1.8 aperture, 3x optical zoom and 75mm focal length, a 200-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HP9 telephoto sensor with 100mm focal length and f/2.6 aperture, and a 50-megapixel ultra wide-angle camera with f/2.2 aperture and 115-degree field-of-view (FoV) are all included. 

The phone can record videos at up to 4K/60 frames per second or 8K/30 frames per second. A 32-megapixel front camera with an f/2.0 aperture is also included for taking selfies and making video calls. A 6,000mAh battery with 90W (wired) and 80W (wireless) fast charging is included in the Xiaomi 15 Ultra. Reverse wireless charging is also supported. 5G, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, BeiDou, NavIC, and USB Type-C are among the smartphone's connectivity choices. 

It has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor for security. Additionally, the phone is IP68 rated for protection from dust and splashes. The phone's black and white versions weigh 226g and have dimensions of 161.3 x 75.3 x 9.35 mm. Its other variations, however, weigh 229g and are thicker by 9.48mm. 

Xiaomi 15 Ultra price

Pricing-wise, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage starts at CNY 6,499, or around Rs. 78,000. The top-tier 16GB RAM + 1TB storage model costs CNY 7,799 (about Rs. 96,000), while the 16GB RAM + 512GB storage variation costs CNY 6,999 (approximately Rs. 84,000). 

Additionally, Xiaomi is selling a Professional Imaging Kit, which includes extra tools for photography lovers, as an optional accessory for CNY 999 (about Rs. 12,000). On March 2, the phone will debut globally, including in India.

Xiaomi 15 Ultra launch in India

Beginning in China, the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, the company's most potent camera smartphone, has formally broken cover. The Xiaomi 15 series is now complete with the addition of the 15 Ultra to the 15 and 15 Pro.

It is confirmed that two of these phones, the Xiaomi 15 and the Xiaomi 15 Ultra, will make their global debut on March 2 at the Mobile World Congress 2025 in Barcelona, Spain. In India, Xiaomi is concurrently launching teaser advertisements that allude to an impending launch at roughly the same time.
