The National Testing Agency (NTA) conducted the CSIR NET December 2024 exam across the country on 28 February, but the exam had to be cancelled at one centre. This is an exam centre in Assam. NTA has also issued an official notice regarding this, which can be seen by visiting the official website of CSIR NET csirnet.nta.ac.in.
Actually, the exam held on 28 February at Assam Downtown University, Guwahati has been rescheduled due to technical glitch. NTA has canceled the exam held here in Earth Science and Mathematical Science subjects. This cancelled exam will now be conducted on 2 March in the first shift i.e. from 9 am to 12 noon at the same center.
The CSIR UGC NET exam is being conducted in computer based test mode. There are three sections in the exam and all the sections consist of objective type multiple choice questions. The paper is bilingual i.e. Hindi and English. Candidates have to answer in their medium as per the option given in the application form. The exam is being conducted in two shifts. The first shift is from 9 am to 12 noon and the second shift is from 3 pm to 6 pm. The exam will end on March 2.
After the exam is over, NTA will release the provisional answer key. With the release of the answer key, the objection window will also open. Candidates can challenge the provisional answer key for any question by paying Rs 200 per challenge. Then after the objection window closes, the final answer key will be released.
