The Hindi film industry is filled with the names of actors who couldnt make it big. Among them moviegoers might recall the name Sumeet Saigal. A former Bollywood actor who was active in the industry from 1987 to 1995 but struggled to establish himself as a leading star. He made his Bollywood debut with Insaniyat Ke Dushman which couldnt achieve critical as well as commercial acclaim. Following this he appeared in couple of hits like Imaandaar Param Dharm Lashkar Pati Patni Aur Tawaif and Gunaah. Despite being a part of successful films Sumeet couldnt make it big as an actor.
Despite a setback in his acting journey the actor decided to start his career fresh as a producer after marrying Farah. He currently owns a production company called Sumeet Arts which dubs films made in other languages into Hindi. Reportedly his new business venture is doing well and the company he owns is worth in crores. Summet has finally received success in the industry as a producer.
Sumeet is happy on the personal front as well. He got married to Tabus sister and actress Farah Naaz on 20 June 2003. This is Sumeets second marriage. Earlier he tied the knot with Shaheen Banu but divorced her after few years of marriage. This was Farah Naazs second marriage too she was married to Vindu Dara Singh but they divorced later.
Sumeet is enjoying his family life with Farah and his daughter Sayyeshaa Saigal (Sumeet and Shaheen’s daughter). Farahs son Fateh Randhawa (her and Vindu Dara Singh’s son) also lives with them.
Coming back to Sumeets acting journey his charming looks truly made him a heartthrob of 90s. The actor was often compared to Govinda due to his striking resemblance. Despite mostly seen in supporting roles alongside several superstars his noteworthy contribution to the film industry is still cherished. Sumeet was last in the film Samaya Kheluchhi Chaka Bhaunri which was released in 2002.
