Chief Minister Mohan Yadav declared on Saturday that Madhya Pradesh has achieved a remarkable 13 percent growth this year and that rice farmers would get Rs 4,000 per hectare, which doubles the Rs 2000 per hectare that was originally promised. He was speaking to a group of Balaghat farmers.

The chief minister further said that other initiatives and development projects totaling Rs 326 crore have begun in the area. “This impressive growth of the economy shows the state economy is expanding,” remarked the governor.

CM Yadav emphasized that the state’s growing economy is the reason for this increase. He commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s efforts to move India’s economy from eleventh to fifth place in the world in only ten years. He pointed out that the state government’s many social programs are to blame for the 13% growth rate.

CM Yadav emphasized that women in the state would get more money when private investments begin to come in, referring to the just-finished Global Investors’ Summit 2025.

In the preceding fiscal year, the state’s GDP increased by 9.23% to Rs 12,46,471 crore. The GSDP at constant prices for 2023-24 was Rs 6,60,363 crore, up 6.01 percent from Rs 6,22,908 crore the year before, according to the Economic Survey 2023-24.

Madhya Pradesh’s per capita income increased by over fourfold from Rs 38,497 in 2011–12 to Rs 1,42,565 in 2023–24, according to the Economic Survey 2023–24, which was presented to the state Assembly earlier last year. The per capita net income has increased dramatically, demonstrating genuine economic development, even after accounting for inflation. The yearly budget for 2025–2026 will be presented by the state administration to the state legislature on March 12. On March 10, the budget session will start.

CM Yadav also revealed a number of projects, such as many bridges and a hockey astroturf. He promised that social programs and initiatives for the improvement of all facets of society are in progress due to the quick economic development.

These include programs aimed at empowering women, promoting industry and commerce via streamlined laws, empowering tribal and scheduled caste groups economically and socially, and integrating technology into agriculture to increase farmers’ incomes through food processing.
