Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchants wedding is one of the most talked-about weddings in the country. A few months from now Anant and Radhikas wedding will mark a year. Several famous figures graced the event and one among them was Mika Singh. Recently the singer opened up about the wedding and was full of praise for the Ambani family. In an interview with Pinkvilla Mika said that events like these are a blessing for thousands. He said “Log kehte hai itna paisa uda diya (People say so much is wasted).” He explained himself and said that these events have supported many households especially in sustaining their livelihood. From caterers to decorators musicians security staff and airlines everyone benefited from the event. Adding more he mentioned that during this wedding his schedule was also busy and other artists also got a chance to perform. Emphasising the broader impact Mika noted that if 2000 guests attended the workforce required for hospitality including chefs servers cleaners and event planners would be immense. He pointed out that entire households benefited financially from the wedding with businesses ranging from local vendors to luxury brands witnessing massive gains. He further dismissed the notion that food was wasted at the wedding. He said “Agar ek shaadi se ek lakh logon ka ghar chal raha hai toh yeh toh blessing hai! (If one wedding helps a lakh people earn their livelihood isn’t that a blessing?)” The singer praised the Ambani family for hosting an event as grand as the wedding which has uplifted an entire ecosystem of workers and businesses. Before anyone speculated that he was merely complimenting the family Mika clarified “Chamchagiri nahi kar raha hu (I am not buttering anyone up).”
