Joao Pedro (Brighton)

Liverpool is considering Brighton's Brazilian forward Joao Pedro ahead of this summer when he could replace Nunez. That is according to , which claims that he is one of a number of options being assessed.

Pedro, who is said to be valued at around $75m (£60m/€73m), has been in English soccer since 2020 when he moved to Watford. This season under Fabian Hurzeler, he has scored seven goals in 21 top-flight games, but has become a very rounded attacker.

At 23, Pedro might be ready to take the next step in his career. Liverpool would have to pay a premium to sign him from a rival and the Seagulls have shown plenty of times that they will demand top dollar before cashing in on anyone.

Liverpool.com says: Pedro looks like the ideal kind of player when it comes to work ethic, pressing and link-up play. For him to justify what Liverpool would have to pay for him, though, he might need to show a bit more goalscoring prowess.

Alexander Isak (Newcastle United)

Missing at Anfield this midweek , Alexander Isak is having the season of his life. The 24-year-old has been linked with an exit and both Liverpool and Arsenal have been spoken about as possible destinations in the summer.

According to , Liverpool is "very likely" to be in the mix for Isak. The report says that he would be valued at upward of $150m (£120m/€145m) but it is believed that Newcastle is reluctant to put any price tag on the Swede because it wants to keep him, regardless of whether it returns to the under Eddie Howe.

Liverpool.com says: Isak would be the dream option for Liverpool this summer but the chances of the Magpies letting him go for anything like a reasonable fee seem slim. It just doesn't feel that realistic.
