Late Industrialist and former chairperson of the Tata Group Ratan Tata is a name that every Indian remembers. His down-to-earth nature and contribution to the country cannot be forgotten. Ratan Tata continues his legacy under the umbrella of the Tata Groups. Despite being an industrialist Ratan Tata was fond of films and eventually wanted to establish his business in the entertainment industry. During the mid-2000s Ratan tried his hands in producing a film that featured big names that need no introduction. Ratan Tata along with his production house starred Amitabh Bachchan. While many might have thought that this was the best collaboration between the two stars. However it turned out to be a disaster it soon became Ratan Tatas only film he ever made. In 2004 Rata Tatas production house made its debut with the film featuring Big B John Abraham Bipasha Basu in pivotal roles. Apart from that Aetbaar also starred Supriya Pilgaonkar Ali Asgar Amardeep Jha and Tom Alter. The film made its debut run on January 23 2004. Despite having big names the film bombed at the box office and soon turned out to be a disaster. Helmed by Vikram Bhatt Aetbaar was adapted from Hollywood hit film Fear (1996) the film took inspiration from Shah Rukh Khans superhit film Darr. The film did terrible business earning just Rs 4.25 crore in India and Rs 7.96 crore (worldwide). Aetbaar took a toll on the late industrialist so much so that he later decided to step away from the film fraternity and never looked back. Despite etching his name in the Indian market and worldwide Ratan Tata lived a humble life and inspired others with his humble and caring nature. Ratan Tata died on October 9 2024 at the age of 86.
