Whenever there is a discussion about great directors in Bollywood Sanjay Leela Bhansalis name is always mentioned. He has created some of the most remarkable historical drama action and romance films. From Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam to Gangubai Kathiawadi he has directed several masterpieces. However did you know that for his 2018 film Padmaavat Bhansali did not write a dedicated script for the heroine’s role?
Due to this Bollywood’s powerhouse actress Kangana Ranaut turned down the film. Reportedly she rejected the offer because her character did not have a well-defined role beyond just getting ready and looking glamorous on screen.
A recent video of Kangana Ranaut has been shared on an Instagram account where she reveals that she was offered the role of Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansalis film Padmaavat. However when she asked the director about the heroine’s role he responded that there was no script and that the hero would simply watch her as she got ready in front of the mirror.
In the video Kangana in her bold style adds that when she eventually watched the film she felt that all the female characters were just getting ready throughout the movie. This video is going viral on social media garnering thousands of likes. While some people agree with Kangana’s statement others are criticising her remarks.
