Traveling to Noida International Airport will soon become more convenient for passengers from Greater Noida West. A dedicated one-lane busway is being constructed from Kisan Chowk to Sirsa, spanning 25 km. The project aims to be completed within a year, ensuring a smooth and traffic-free journey to the airport.

Enhanced Road Connectivity to Noida International Airport

To improve accessibility, a single-lane busway is being developed from Kisan Chowk in Greater Noida West to the Eastern Peripheral Expressway in Sirsa. The construction has already started from Knowledge Park 4 to Sirsa, ensuring that buses heading to the airport can travel without disruptions. This initiative will help decongest the 130-meter-wide road and provide a seamless transit option for passengers.

With Noida International Airport in Jewar set to begin operations by April 2025, rapid progress is being made on road infrastructure projects. The busway will serve as an alternative to regular roadways, minimizing congestion and enhancing efficiency.

Bus Stands and Real-Time Tracking Facilities

The dedicated busway project will also feature bus stands at key locations, where passengers can conveniently board and disembark. Additional facilities, including digital displays and real-time tracking, will be available to provide live updates on bus locations.

Prabhat Shankar, Manager of the Project Department, stated that the busway will streamline airport access and offer passengers an efficient mode of transportation.

Connecting Greater Noida West to the Yamuna Expressway

Passengers will reach Sirsa via Greater Noida Authority office, Ek Murti, and Tilpata before joining the Eastern Peripheral Expressway. An interchange is being developed to seamlessly connect this expressway with the Yamuna Expressway, providing direct access to the airport from Greater Noida West.

This 25-km-long dedicated bus route will be the first of its kind in Gautam Buddha Nagar, ensuring hassle-free airport transfers.

Road Construction for Cargo Terminal Access

Alongside passenger connectivity improvements, work has also begun on a 30-meter-wide, 8-km-long road connecting the Noida International Airport cargo terminal to the Yamuna Expressway.

Following approval of the road budget by the state government, the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) has initiated land preparation work. The Yamuna Authority allocated ₹196.79 crores for this project, slightly lower than the initial estimate of ₹235.70 crores.

This road will be built along the airport’s boundary wall in the north and east directions, ensuring smooth cargo movement and improved logistical operations.

With these infrastructure upgrades, Noida International Airport is on track to become a major transportation hub, offering improved accessibility for both passengers and cargo operations.
