A suspected car-ramming attack has occurred in the German city of Mannheim, according to local media.

Police said: "Due to the police deployment, citizens are asked to avoid Mannheim city centre and to take a wide detour."

Video on social media seems to show people injured on the floor following the suspected attack.

Local outlet MANNHEIM24 suggested a black SUV drove at high speed into a crowd of people.
